Kristina was born in Singapore, of Swedish parents and spent part of her childhood in South Korea. Her mother was born and raised in China, where she met and married her father.

Growing up and travelling with her parents, Kristina would be fascinated by the tales told, of their amazing and diverse trips. This later instilled in her a continuing interest in peoples and cultures.

Kristina attained a degree in Social Anthropology at Monash University in Melbourne. She then worked as a travel agent and tour leader for most of her working life.

During her own travels over the years, she met and made many friends from dozens of countries around the globe, including Asia, Europe, USA, Central and South America. Kristina’s family consisting of twenty eight first and second cousins, are also spread around the world.

Her love of people from all walks of life and compassion for others, no matter what their situation, helped her keep in contact with those that she met.

With many friends in the music and entertainment industry, along with medical workers, teachers and the people she has known in her varied careers, Kristina has maintained vast and strong friendship groups.

When the Coronavirus hit, Kristina was inspired to publish a collection of stories written by her Australian friends, describing how they felt during lockdown. The idea then expanded to include contributions from her overseas friends and family as well. As the stories came in, she collated their experiences into an edited anthology, that will forever stand as a testament to the year that was 2020.
